We ended the year with our traditional Play, Christmas Caroling
and Party. It was a busy time and busy day, but what fun we all had
! ! !
The Play was wonderful. Donna wrote and directed the children,
thanks Donna you did a great job and everyone appreciated it. It
was so nice to see kids that a couple of years ago couldn't even
read and now they were anxious to have a reading part in the play.
I think all of the Parishioners enjoyed seeing the children center
stage. Their singing started off the Christmas season.
After Church the children received a small gift from the Church
School Teachers and joined in the Parish Party. (Remember in past
years, Father Thompson wouldn't let us eat until we sang).
We decided to change the Caroling from Friday night to Sunday night.
We all met at the Church for an early dinner which was cooked by
Bob Ramsay. Thanks Bob ! ! ! Then we were off Caroling, not even
the light rain damped the spirits of the children. This year we
went to some old places and some new. Doreen made it a surprise
for Bill and their friends. The children were greeted warmly. Then
it was off to Irene's. We have gone there every year since we started
Caroling. She always has a treat for them. We headed for Marguerite's
and were invited into her lovely home. The children sang and enjoyed
her company. She showed them her Nativity Set that was very old
and they loved it and were very careful. Louise came outside and
joined in the singing which they loved. They even did several encores.
Our final stop was at Anne's new apartment. For years we have ended
our Christmas Caroling at her house. Her apartment was warm and
welcoming to the kids and they made themselves at home quickly.
Of course, they sang several songs before they were treated to cookies
and lots of goodies. No one wanted to go home. Thank you Anne for
having us once again and for continuing this wonderful tradition.
Of course, I did my annual speech. Once again I would like to thank
all of our teachers, especially Beth and Donna. Plus our Sub-Teachers;
Carol, Bob, Debi and all of the older teenage girls. Most of all,
thank you to the parents for sending and sharing their children
with us and the children for their enthusiasm for learning and being
a Church Family.

Leader: Diane Kern , Melissa Kelly. and Carol Ramsay.
We ended the year with our traditional Pizza Party get together,
BUT we were invited to the Ramsay's house. We all had a great time.
They had a big tree in the living room and we were greeted warmly
by Madison (their black lab). Just about all of the teens were able
to make this Holiday Get Together. Thanks Bob & Carol for opening
your home again to us.
At the November meeting they made lots of cookies for the Seaman's
which were gratefully received. We have been collecting magazines,
small bottles of shampoo, soap and various other items (see bin
outside Parish Hall). They are so thankful for all of the items.
We will continue to collect these items throughout the year.
We will be collecting Card Fronts for the next month or so. These
will be donated to St. Jude's Hospital. They take them and make
new cards out of the old ones. We need card front ONLY. The cards
need to be general Christmas, Birthday, etc. Please place in box
outside Parish Hall.
Don't forget meetings are SECOND Tuesday of each month. I try to
call and remind everyone, but you are almost adults and should have
it on your calendar.
